Last term some of our college students were given the exciting opportunity to go behind the scenes at Heaton Park and discover how Parklife, one of the UK’s biggest music festivals, comes together.
During the visit, students gained a valuable insight into the huge amount of planning, organisation and teamwork that takes place before the festival opens its gates. They learned about the many different roles involved in delivering a major event, from logistics and site management to health and safety, customer services and event operations.
The experience provided a real-world look at the skills and dedication required to coordinate an event of this scale, helping students to understand the wide range of career opportunities available within the events and entertainment industry.
It was a fascinating and inspiring day for everyone involved and gave students the chance to see first-hand what happens behind the scenes at a world-class festival. We would like to thank the Parklife team for hosting such an informative visit and creating a memorable experience for our students.
